They are things that customers can see, feel, and hold. Tangible contact like this often creates a more powerful connection and reminder.

There is a range of simple psychological things you can do too to create a sense of urgency, or instill FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) in your customers. These are tried and tested tactics that businesses use on their websites, online stores, blogs, and social media, for example.

An example is to show the inventory count of a product. For example, you could have an indicator showing “Only 3 items left in stock”. This creates a sense of urgency and makes customers feel like they have to buy the item now or risk missing out! Showing discounts and original prices is a similar trick too. For example, you could show the discount price of $59, and in brackets, but the original price (Was $79).

These tips and tricks are relatively simple to do and can go a long way to convert customers into sales. Also, they can help build a reliable customer base that will use your business consistently and provide a steady flow of business and income.
